How it all started....

Though born in South London, Sonny Cutting was a Brighton local from the age of 16 and has lived in Hurstpierpoint for the past 17 years. Today in the sleepy little village of Hurstpierpoint, he lives with his wife, Andrea and their four-year old twins, Jack and Charlotte.

Sonny is the managing director of Sussex Pages, The Business Marketing Network, a local digital marketing company which he set up after leaving BT as a new media specialist after 8 years of service. Inspiration struck in the midst of running Sussex Pages. Sonny was invited to a business conference in Haywards Heath in 2015 and was simply not impressed. The business conference felt tired and lacklustre – no doubt encouraging the epiphany about tradeshows and conferences that then came to him. In January 2015, Sonny created a small networking group which worked like a mini conference with speakers, guests and members that met once a month on a Saturday morning in Ardingly, West Sussex of bringing together 15-20 business people every month to network, make connections and ultimately, this was the humble beginnings of the Network Xpress brand and vision.

Our game plan goes above and beyond, rolling out game themed expos and conferences which allow exhibitors and guests alike to immerse themselves in an experience they won’t forget.

Gamification is applying the fundamentals and notions of certain games into non-game situations or contexts. It has the benefits of encouraging participation and engagement and improving efficiency and productivity; all vital components of a successful business. The game process is used in several different ways and is easily noticed in today’s market by way of games and videos to augmented advertising.

When you compare us to other business tradeshow organisations, Net XP is really rather new to the Business to Business (B2B) scene, yet we’ve been incredibly lucky to work with several companies who’ve been with us at our shows for the past 12-18 months. One brand stands out as a constant source of support since our humble beginnings; Basepoint, a forward-thinking organisation that has been rapidly expanding its business centres across the South East of England.

Basepoint and Net XP’s business relationship blossomed after Sonny Cutting, Managing Director of Sussex Pages and Net XP, met Stephanie George, the Centre Manager of the Basepoint Crawley office at a Basepoint networking hub event. What. A. Day!

The Net XP grand B2B, casino themed event, held at the majestic East Sussex National was flush with success. With a green tartan kilt and a beard to put Dumbledore to shame, after three times of ‘Good morning everyone’, compere extraordinaire Greg Draven woke up bleary eyed exhibitors, gripping their lifeline of coffee to fuel their day ahead.

Immediately afterwards we had Shea Bennett, Head of Digital Marketing at Identity Group take to the stage, with an interesting focus on mobiles and some fascinating facts about social media, answering questions and giving top tips, such as, 9pm-10pm is a great time to post, as it is when people take that one last scroll on Facebook!

We're officially a few short weeks away from our first event of the year at the highly prestigious East Sussex National resort, the venue for our Sussex business expo. We are incredibly excited for the big day and are ready to receive exhibitors, guests, and speakers alike.

It's been a busy month since our last newsletter to you… We've been working with the excellent company, Demonskinz, in Crowborough to design and create a 5-metre banner to showcase our brand on the big day. They have also brought Net XP’s brand vision come alive with window graphics and the casino theme, which you will see when you register on the day.
